Make it a day to remember

So Much to Think About. So Little Time.
That’s Where I come In!

Planning a ceremony, whether it’s a celebration of a loved ones life, a living funeral or a joyous wedding event can be stressful. You’re asked to make big decisions and asked questions that you may not know the answers to, and often uncertainty can feel like extra pressure.

Let me guide you through the process of creating a ceremony, from initial meeting to delivery of the ceremony, I’ll be right by your side.

Hi! I’m mandy

I’m an independent, civil celebrant which means I lead ceremonies for people like you who want something a bit different, something more personal and unique, something that honours the ritual and ceremonial elements of the event, but also considers the personalities of those involved.

My favourites ceremonies are those that are a little informal, relaxed and include a flavour of you and your families.

what i can help with!

Your ceremony can be as traditional or unconventional as you want to make it. Religious or spiritual elements can be included to make it unique to you and your family.

You choose the time and place and we will work together to create your special ceremony, including readings, your choice of music and the words that suit you best.

Happy Clients

"Mandy did a wonderful job of making sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day. We planned our ceremony whilst living in the USA and she was very accommodating. She made arrangements for video calling and was open with communications. Mandy simplified the process by listening to what we wanted and then made it a reality. Then after all the planning, she was at the venue ready with positive and calm attitude. Everything went fantastic and we would definitely recommend her for future occasions. Thank you for making everything easy!."

What does a celebrant do?

A celebrant officiates a ceremony, with celebration. Ceremonies can be weddings, vow renewals, celebrations of life (traditionally funerals) or living funerals.

Can I have religious or spiritual elements?

Yes of course. it’s your ceremony and you get to choose all of the elements. If you’d like traditional or modern, that’s what we’ll do. If you’d like to have speakers or not – it’s your choice. I’ll facilitate whatever your requirements are. Many families like to have a modern ceremony with a nod to the traditional, including religious elements such as the Lord’s Prayer or a reading, led by the personal elements of the service.

What happens when we meet?

Due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19, all meetings and preparatory calls are done online, using zoom.

In a 30 minute discovery call, we’ll have an informal chat, you can ask any questions you have, and I’ll talk you through the process if you’d like to book with me.

If you’d like to proceed and ‘save the date’, a deposit is payable and I’ll share my terms and conditions with you.

We’ll then organise a further meeting where I’ll gently interrogate you to find out what would make your ceremony perfect, and give you some hints and tips if you require them on different elements of the ceremony.

Once the ceremony is drafted, it’s sent to you for approval, and any amends are made before it is signed off and that is what is delivered on the day.

What if I have to cancel my wedding due to Covid?

If the unfortunate happens, do get in touch and we’ll have a chat about alternative dates. If I’m able to accommodate your new date, then there’s no problem. If not, I’ll refund your deposit minus any work already undertaken charged at £50 an hour.

Can you recommend wedding venues?

I can certainly recommend venues where I have held ceremonies. You can find out more on the ‘trusted partner’ page.
